My guest today is Michael James. Michael is a chef turned baker who, along with his wife Pippa, founded The Tivoli Road Bakery in Melbourne, Australia in 2013. Michael published his first book “The Tivoli Road Baker” in 2018 in which he shares his thoughts on bread, native ingredients, and the community that sprung up around his bakery. Michael has been described as “one of the greatest bakers of his generation” and I am so happy to have him join me to talk about his journey, sourdough, and with any luck, a little bit about his forthcoming 2nd book.

On this episode of the Sourdough Podcast, baker and author Michael James joins me from Melbourne, Australia to talk about his journey from Chef to Baker and his internationally acclaimed cook book, The Tivoli Road Baker. He shares his thoughts and tips on Sourdough and answers listener questions about starter health and viennoiserie, and even tells us about his 2nd book to be released later next year.  You won’t want to miss this one.
